Installing Package Files

 

The patterns, objects and clothing on this site are package files.

In order for these to work in your game you will need a special file named Resource.cfg

the file that you need can be found HERE

 

Place the file into this folder C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

 

Some of the zip files for clothing recolour's have 2 or 3 files inside,

these will be the original alpha texture file,  a Sims 3 file and in some cases a pattern file.

You will need to install these in the correct place, instructions below.

 

If you are using MTS’ Monkey Installer from HERE, just double click.

It will automatically install to the right directory.

 

Place your Sims 3 patterns files in this folder  

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages\Patterns

 

Place your Sims 3 clothing files in this folder

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages\Skins

 

Place your Sims 3 objects files in this folder  

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages\Misc

 

 

Maternity Clothes

 

Unless you have a mod that will allow it, you will need to choose your sims

maternity clothes before they choose their own.

All maternity outfits also work for young adult and adult for normal wear.

If your sim is wearing maternity trousers they will also need

to wear a maternity top, otherwise the game will give them something random.

Some of my maternity outfits are random, this will mean your pregnant

sims may just choose one of my outfits anyway.

 

 

Teen Maternity Clothes

 

Teen maternity clothes are made with adult female meshes, because of this

tops and bottoms may not look right with normal teen clothing.  So it is best to use

a teen maternity top with teen maternity bottom only.

This does not effect full outfits.

The pictures of teens in the maternity pages are not pregnant teens,

this is because I do not have the teen pregnancy mod at the moment.

But as the meshes are the same as the adult maternity meshes

they will look the same for pregnant teens.

High End Loft Stuff

If an item shows a logo, you will need to have the expansion pack

or stuff pack installed for the item to work.

 

If it is a lot then you will only need the expansion pack installed, and the expansion

logo’s will be the only logo’s shown. If items were used

from a stuff pack you can still use the lot but the items from the stuff pack

will be replaced with alternative items.

 

Downloading Files

 

Just click the picture of the item you want. The file will then

automatically download.

Ambitions
